Building a Framework

Machining

We process metals such as castings and iron, and automatically manufacture the parts that become the bases and frameworks of chairs.
About 70% of the parts that make up the framework of our chairs are manufactured in-house, and some parts are manufactured on a 24-hour basis.

We balance the workload of each machine and adjust the operating rate. For the sake of TAKARA Quality, we work carefully, such as sending good products to the next one and not causing inconvenience with defective products.

Painting/Quenching

In order to increase the strength of parts and prevent rust, processed parts are painted or quenched depending on the application.

Cut the synthetic leather used for chair seats and handrails. In order to work efficiently, lay out and cut the parts for one chair.

Sewing

Since many of our chair products have complicated shapes, each one is sewn by skilled craftsmen using a sewing machine.

Upholstery

The craftsmen stretch the synthetic leather ^* little by little while adjusting the amount of force applied. By stretching it by hand, you can create beautiful tension and luxurious gathers without slack. *In our company, we refer to synthetic leather.

While communicating with people who work on a regular basis, I get feedback on things that are difficult to do, and I try to prevent variations in quality depending on the person.

Assembly, Inspection, etc.

Parts Preparation and Serving

Parts are managed in an automated rack warehouse, and the necessary parts are automatically transported from the warehouse and picked. After that, the parts are placed on the delivery cart and delivered to the chair assembly site. In order to prevent misuse and forgetting to assemble parts, they are arranged in order of process on the serving cart.

Chair Assembly and Work Check

Assembly is done by one person for each process, and productivity is improved by adopting a hybrid method of cell production and line production.
Nearly 200 inspection items are set for each process, and we carefully check the lifting position of the seat and the angle of reclining, and then proceed to the next process.

Product Inspection

The person in charge of product inspection checks the operation by placing a weight on the electrical system and chair. We also check for misalignment of the seams of the seat, and correct even the slightest misalignment. Products that have passed inspection are labeled with the final manufacturer's label.

Packing and Shipping

Products are individually packed and shipped domestically and internationally. Products to be delivered overseas by ship are efficiently loaded into containers so that no space is wasted, and we are devising ways to transport many products in a single shipment.
